Success Story

Liu, Jiewen (Jevin from 8th Japanese Cooking Class)

At the end of 2019, Jevin immigrated to the United States. Due to the outbreak of the pandemic soon after, Jevin could not find a job and remained unemployed for more than half a year until he found a job as a kitchen assistant and handyman for a Japanese restaurant. As the pandemic restrictions eased, it became easier for Jevin to find another job in the restaurant industry, but Jevin wanted to improve his Japanese cooking skills to widen his job prospects.

In addition to enrolling in Japanese Culinary Class, Jevin also participated in pre-employment education and interview practice with CCSC. After completing the Culinary Training Program, Jevin reached new heights in his professional culinary career with our connections and support. Through the assistance of our staff, Jevin completed an English interview with Hyatt Hotel.
